Writing about Vigilae

What you need for an accurate article: who publishes Vigilae, what the software does and does not do, the launch press release, and files you can use in your pages.

In brief

Vigilae in a few lines

Vigilae is AML/CFT compliance software, sold by subscription, for regulated professions outside banking: wealth managers and financial advisers, estate agents and agency networks, property dealers, notaries, lawyers, accountants, company service providers, judicial officers and auctioneers.

The principle fits in one sentence: Vigilae prepares, the human decides, the reporting professional remains solely responsible. The AI reads the documents, a deterministic engine calculates the risk, the professional makes the call. The software never sends a suspicious activity report.

Launch press release

Vigilae opens its AML/CFT compliance platform to non-bank professions

AI reads the documents, the engine calculates, the human decides: Vigilae builds the evidence file from start to finish, without ever standing in for the reporting professional.

Vigilae, a French publisher of compliance software, announces the launch of its SaaS platform for anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT). Built for obliged professions outside banking (wealth managers and financial advisers, estate agents and agency networks, property dealers, notaries, accountants, company service providers), Vigilae turns an obligation often felt as a burden into a clear, traceable process that can be shown when the supervisor asks.

With the EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR, Regulation (EU) 2024/1624, applicable from 10 July 2027) approaching, and the new European authority AMLA, based in Frankfurt, building up, these professionals must be able to show their due diligence to their supervisor. Many still rely on spreadsheets, scattered paper files and procedures that nothing records.

Vigilae starts from a simple principle: artificial intelligence reads the documents, a deterministic engine calculates the risk in a traceable way, and the professional decides with full knowledge of the facts. The tool never decides in the human's place and never sends a report. It gives the reporting professional a clear, time-stamped and defensible evidence file; responsibility for the decision stays, as the law requires, with the professional.

What Vigilae does

  • One due-diligence file per client and per transaction: a single space for the documents and the history of the business relationship.
  • AI document reading, at the professional's request: identity documents, company register extracts, articles of association, proof of source of funds, to pre-fill the file. The professional confirms every piece of information kept.
  • Beneficial owners: a deterministic engine reconstructs ownership chains to show who really controls an entity.
  • Deterministic risk rating: an explainable, reproducible and traceable rating, not a black box.
  • Sanctions, asset-freeze and PEP screening: before the transaction, then at every re-screening of the portfolio, with every check logged.
  • Suspicious activity report prepared: Vigilae pre-drafts the report and prepares the export in ERMES format for France, or in goAML format for the units that use it, with strict respect for confidentiality. The tool never sends the report; it remains the act and the responsibility of the reporting professional.
  • PDF evidence file and time-stamped audit trail: ready to present to the competent supervisor (in France: the DGCCRF, the AMF, the ACPR or the professional body).
  • Oversight for firms, networks and head offices: a consolidated view of compliance, without ever exposing a suspicious activity report on a shared surface.

Why now

The AMLR harmonises AML/CFT obligations across the Union and, from 10 July 2027, sets the beneficial-ownership threshold at 25% or more. The standard of evidence expected from non-bank professions is moving closer to that of the banking sector. Vigilae was designed so that these professionals, often without a compliance department, can demonstrate the seriousness of their due diligence with an effort proportionate to their business.
